In an increasingly interconnected and complex world, collaboration is becoming essential to improve performance and achieve objectives. Actively listening to our customers and working with these partnerships allows us to create the best products, adapted to their new needs and aligned with their challenges. Since the beginning of our internationalisation process in 2019, marked by the acquisition of the Portuguese plant of Hinojosa Packaging Graphicleaders, we undertook to reinforce these synergies. This approach was awarded by the General Assembly of the packaging cluster at the GoldPack 2024 awards. Through our twenty or so packaging plants, we develop sustainable and innovative packaging solutions in all the territories where we operate. Our priority is to remain close to our customers in order to better respond to their needs.
In this process of reaching new markets, Hinojosa started its expansion in France in 2021. Since then, we have gradually increased our presence in this territory, where we now have seven plants. Most recently, inn 2023, we formed a strategic alliance with ASV Packaging, taking a 49% stake, and began developing partnerships for joint customers. An example of such a partnership is Francep – Gelpass, a company that has specialised in frozen vegetable products for more than 25 years. This alliance has resulted in the launch of 13 packaging references, printed out in the Hinojosa Packaging Brive and ASV Packaging Châteauroux plants, meeting the needs of Gelpass and its new “La Belle Musette” range of frozen products.
Plants complementing each other to provide a 360° service
The common commitment between Hinojosa and ASV Packaging has always been to develop high quality packaging solutions that meet the specific requirements of their customers. The different specialisation of the plants allows them to cover all needs in sustainable packaging solutions; while 3 of its plants are dedicated to the manufacture of corrugated cardboard, ASV Packaging’s plants specialise in folding cardboard packaging, i.e. packaging aimed at the end consumer. In this way we are able to provide our customers in France with the most comprehensive service in sectors such as food, one of our main areas of specialisation.
The key to successful synergies, also with “La Belle Musette”
Decentralised management and strong collaboration between plants and teams has enabled the successful development of packaging solutions for “La Belle Musette”, a new line of frozen culinary products created for Gelpass. This range offers more than 20 tasty recipes, including purées, gratins and gourmet pan-fried dishes, all ready to be prepared and enjoyed. Attentive listening, trust and shared values and objectives have enabled us to maintain our common commitment to meet the requirements of the “La Belle Musette” range and to provide sustainable solutions that meet the demands of the customer, the market and the planet.
This project is a clear example of our spirit of innovation and our willingness to overcome challenges together through the alliance between all our plants and the adaptation of our portfolio to meet the sustainable packaging needs of our customers. This partnership illustrates our commitment to maintaining a close relationship with our customers while continuing our international expansion. By consolidating our presence in the French market, this project underlines our core values: customer orientation, a positive attitude and trust.
