The company achieved a better score than 95% of the 100,000 firms assessed by EcoVadis.
Hinojosa scored 71/100 for environmental impact, labour and human rights, ethics and sustainable procurement.
For another year, Hinojosa Packaging Group has obtained the EcoVadis Gold Medal for its positive impact in the area of sustainability. It thus ranks in the top 5% of companies assessed on the platform due to its environmental, social, and corporate governance policies.
This internationally renowned award recognises Hinojosa’s efforts and assesses its projects and achievements over 2022, centred on promoting the common good through sustainable packaging solutions and adding maximum value to its clients products.
Hinojosa, in the process of international expansion, has again scored 71/100, excelling once more in the area of environmental care due to the reduction of carbon emissions and many sustainable actions, such as a 93.6% waste recovery rate and the use of more than 63% of energy from renewable sources.
This assessment corresponds to Hinojosa’s practices in 2022, as outlined in the Sustainability report, which records other milestones achieved over the year, such as joining the United Nations Global Compact and being granted an award for the management model based on the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG).
In addition to Ecovadis, the company’s social and environmental performance is also assessed on other international platforms such as Sedex and CDP. These certifications highlight aspects that go beyond the manufacturing of packaging and demonstrate the company’s commitment to care for the planet, their employees, their customers and the local communities where they work.
