Our history
					Hinojosa was founded in 1947 in Xàtiva
						Its founder was Rafael Hinojosa Sanchís, who was committed to the benefits of cardboard and its evolution towards packaging.

In the 1970s we became
 pioneers in Europe by setting up a pre-printing line with the aim of making our customers’ products stand out on the shelf through the image on the packaging.
				1970
					Professionalisation of the agricultural sector
						With the arrival of the 1980s, the agricultural sector became more professional, so we introduced the cardboard box into this market to become the leader in this sector.

					Expansion of the ceramics sector 
						In 1985, the second period of economic crisis hit the market. The end of this period coincided with the expansion of the ceramic sector and the development of our exclusive system for large formats.

					We incorporated our first paper mill
						Due to the paper shortage and in order to guarantee the supply to our customers, we incorporated our first paper mill and began the process of vertical integration.
				1995
					Blue Box Partners was founded
				The company continued to grow and with it came certain requirements such as the need for a single pan-European point of contact. In 2000, the European Blue Box Partners alliance was born. 
				
2000
					LEAN Method
						At Hinojosa we adopted the Lean Manufacturing management model, which focuses on optimising processes while maximising value creation for the customer. Period of investment in new facilities and in the technology park. 
				2009
					Professionalisation of the company.
						The corporate team was set up.
				2011
					Extension of our range of products
						This was the start of a period that continues to the present day, in which the group acquires plants specialising in packaging for the end consumer, to provide our customers with everything from transport boxes to individual cases or display stands.
				2014
					Investment in high print quality and vertical integration
						Only one year later in Xàtiva, we installed the first digital Single Pass printer in Europe. Acquisition of our second paper mill in Sarrià and unification of the group’s image under a new brand.
				2015
					Internationalisation and development of primary packaging
						This year saw the start of our international expansion with the acquisition of Graphicsleader in Portugal. 
We became the exclusive producer of HaloPack in the Iberian Peninsula and thus began the development of our 360 Green Packaging line aimed at fresh food. 
				2020
					Entry in the French market
						We announced the acquisition of the Allard Emballages group, thus bolstering our vertical integration with the 3rd largest paper mill in France.

					Purpose and value proposition
						A period of deep reflection that leads us to redefine our value proposition. We share a clear purpose: to improve the common good with sustainable packaging solutions.
				2022
					Foodservice
						Hinojosa launches Foodservice, its new line of 100% recyclable and end-of-life environmentally neutral primary packaging for beverages and ready meals.
