The reinvention of packaging: sustainable packaging to keep your food fresh, reducing the consumption of single-use plastics by up to 80%.

On average, each person generates 1.11 kg of waste per day, according to the What a Waste 2.0 Report by the World Bank. Another study by National Geographic reports that more than 126 tons of plastics are thrown into rivers and seas every day in Spain. These two figures call us to rethink and reimagine our production models and consumption habits.

A long time ago the planet said enough is enough. And it’s also been some time since the packaging sector, aware of its important role (more than 35% of plastics produced globally are used to manufacture packaging), began to work to undo the social and environmental problems related to its business model.

This has all been driven by a society that is increasingly environmentally conscious: 90% of consumers believe that plastic in packaging should be reduced and 50% state that they would pay more for recyclable packaging.

Halopack by Hinojosa: open, separate, enjoy, care

As a result of continuous innovation in the sector, we have recently seen groundbreaking solutions such as Halopack: a sustainable packaging system for food, for which Hinojosa is the exclusive manufacturer on the Iberian Peninsula and also in France through ASV Packaging.

Halopack is a new, more sustainable and efficient way to pack and conserve food through unique recycled and recyclable packaging, enabling the reduction of single-use plastic by up to 80% and preserving food with maximum quality guarantees.

In order to meet consumer demands in terms of functionality and the desire to care for the planet, a light and practical design has been developed, made from 87% FSC certified recycled cardboard. What’s more, upon easy removal of the film covering, its structure and manufacturing allow all its components to be recycled, facilitating the beginning of a new life for the container, which can then return to nature without causing any type of harm or pollution; a perfect example of the circular economy.

Therefore, Halopack promotes the transition towards more sustainable models of packaging without the need to replace machinery. It provides the opportunity to bring about a small, sustainable revolution in the packaging sector, combining sustainability and attractive design while offering a wide range of possibilities as a marketing and communication tool.

In summary, Halopack by Hinojosa becomes a true ally for companies, for people and for the planet.
