Who will uphold safety at work so we can continue enjoying life outside of it? Surely, you.

Work is part of our everyday life. That’s why, at Hinojosa, we understand that safety is not just a rule but an attitude that guides every decision and every action we take. The new campaign “Surely You” was created with that purpose in mind: to remind us that when we do things right at work, we’re also protecting everything that awaits us at the end of the day.

Although they often go unnoticed, the numbers are real: in 2024, more than 650,000 workplace accidents were recorded in Spain. A figure that highlights the importance of continuing to promote safe work environments and keeping prevention as an ongoing priority.

At Hinojosa, we work every day to make that reality different. We have advanced, continuously reviewed safety and prevention protocols that guarantee protected environments for everyone who is part of the company. Because safety is not a formality—it’s culture. It is the sum of individual decisions, habits, and behaviors that, together, make every plant a safer place for all.

A preventive culture built by everyone

Safety at Hinojosa is not an isolated procedure; it is a shared culture that evolves thanks to the involvement of everyone in the group. Our preventive model is based on anticipation, continuous training, and dialogue, strengthened by initiatives that make our commitment tangible.

Among these, the Hinojosa Safety Model (HSM) stands out. Implemented in all centers and constantly evolving, this model is designed to improve risk identification and management to ensure safe environments for everyone carrying out their activities in our facilities, whether they are direct employees or not.

Safety First training is another essential pillar. It already represents 26% of all internal training delivered, and in 2024, it was completed by 92% of the workforce. These sessions help identify hazards, understand preventive measures, and take an active role in both individual and collective protection.

To this, we add Safety Talks—spaces for direct dialogue between management and teams that allow us to review behaviors, share concerns, and reinforce real commitments to safety. These conversations are key to identifying improvement opportunities, strengthening plant controls, and consolidating a preventive culture that is active, close, and participatory.

Together, these actions help create more aware and protected work environments, where every gesture counts toward reducing risks and improving overall wellbeing. The ISO 45001:2018 certification, obtained by several plants —including Hinojosa Packaging Valladolid and Hinojosa Paper Sarrià— supports this commitment and strengthens the active participation of everyone involved.

Surely You: prevention with purpose

The “Surely You” campaign aims to remind us that safety is not only a responsibility inside the plant, but also a way to take care of what matters most outside of it. It does so through rational messages, written in an educational yet creative tone, focusing on safety recommendations within the plants—how we pay attention, use equipment correctly, follow procedures, or act when we detect a risk. Every gesture matters, because every gesture protects us here… and also out there, once the day is over.

The campaign invites us to view safety from a broader perspective. It’s not just about preventing accidents; it’s about understanding that what we do at work has a direct impact on how we continue enjoying our personal lives. Behind every responsible action lies the desire to go home peacefully, spend time with our loved ones, keep up with our hobbies, or follow through on our plans. Ultimately, to preserve what gives meaning to our daily lives. And this is where the more emotional messages come into play.

“Surely You” seeks to reinforce exactly that connection—the one between individual responsibility and collective wellbeing, between the routine inside the plant and the life that awaits us once we leave. A campaign that speaks to involvement, commitment, and awareness, because safety is built together. And when it is embraced collectively, it not only protects—it also transforms an organization’s culture.

Safety as a driver of wellbeing

A safe environment not only protects—it also empowers. When we work calmly and confidently, we perform better, focus more, and enjoy what we do. Feeling safe means having the freedom to give your best and go home knowing you can continue enjoying what truly matters.

At Hinojosa, taking care of people’s safety and wellbeing is our best way of taking care of the future.
